Training
To become a great craftsman you need training. No
one goes into an occupation and has the knowledge to run
crews, read blueprints, weld, or fabricate decorative metal
for homes or business. The local apprentice training
facility will provide the education that will be required to
further your knowledge and give you the hands-on training
you will need to create a bright future. Your skills will be
developed in the fields of Architectural sheet metal, HVAC,
Industrial, and/or different welding specialties. Training
is only the beginning!

but will be paid by the JATC (Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee) at no cost to you. All we ask is that you
dedicate yourself to one of the best trained crafts in this
area. With the five year program you will put in 1,000
classroom hours and at least 10,000 hours of on the job
training. At the end of your apprenticeship you will receive
a certificate of completion with credits of all hours and of
all the training you participated in.
With on the job training you will receive valuable benefits
that many companies are doing away with such as healthcare
and retirement. With Local 214 you will have access to the
Local pension, National pension, 401 k, Health and Welfare,
and opportunities to upgrade your training at any time. Your
pay will be one of the highest because of the specialized
training you receive.
